CPI and PPI Turned Positive in November

According to a survey by State Statistics Bureau on Ningbo’s economy, the CPI of Ningbo in November reached 100.2%. This was the first time that the CPI had turned positive after decline for 11 months in a row. It turned positive partly because the base number is low. As matter of fact, the CPI in November dropped by 1.3% when compared with that of the same month last year.
The price of foods rose by a small margin after two months of decline. The items with highest hikes are respectively cookies and biscuits. And the price of pork, however, dropped a little bit.
The price of industrial products has kept rising for six months. The price hikes are mostly due to the hikes of energy, clothes, and daily commodities. Due to the short supply, the price of LPG rises by 605%. Transportation and telecommunication products rise by 0.1%. Due to the gold price hitting record high, the price of jewelries come up by 2.9%
