Yesterday afternoon, Chen Hailun, the Chairman of the Board of Hailun Piano (China), Qiu Zhuoxiong, the Diretor General of Xiongyuan Machinery and CEOs or directors from businesses like Xuteng Plastic and Xunhui Electric Appliance flied to Guizhou Province to take part in the inauguration ceremony of a hope primary schoo, to which they donated 1,250,000 Yuan.

When interviewed, Chen Hailun said that several years ago when they met one of them proposed donating money to build a hope primary school in a poor province so as to shoulder their social responsibility. His proposal won immediate consensus.

Qiu Zhuoxiong, who led the donation this time said that the proposal which sounded a little ‘romantic’ was spread among businessmen in Beilun District. Septmeber of the year before saw 13 enterprises in Beilun District donating 1,250,000 Yuan to build a first-class hope primary school in Taijiang County, Guizhou Province. The named the school as Shanji Hope Primary School. After they decided everything, they visited Guizhou and chose Geyi, the most poorest area in Taijiang County, as the place where they would build a hope primary school, which would be equipped with modern facilities.

The story of their donation was immediately spread out in Taijiang and Beilun. An official from Beilun Development and Reform Bureau who helped arrange their donation said that there seemed no connection between social charity and upgrading of enterprises. But it was not the case. It had always been an urgent problem in terms of promoting the productivity of enterprises through shouldering social responsibilities.
